Hybrid AI Photoshoot
AI-generated models replace a real photoshoot
No models to book. No flight to Norway. No weather risk. What sounds like a vision of the future is already reality — as a recent collaboration between Kreuzfahrten.de and FUCHS SCHMITT shows.
The starting point: real products, digital models
The basis was a classic studio photo shoot. Photographer Tobias Etzer of KRET Studios in Hösbach photographed the FUCHS SCHMITT collection jackets professionally on mannequins — precise, true to detail, production-ready. Christian Sauer of Sauer Marketing then took over the AI realization: using the tool Nano Banana Pro, realistic female models were generated and presented to the client for selection in a structured AI casting.
Why AI casting offers legal and ethical certainty
An important point for product and marketing managers: the generated faces are not real people. Professional AI systems interpolate facial features from a wide range of training data — the result is a synthetic model that corresponds to no existing person. That means: no personality rights, no usage-rights questions, no risk of recognition. For brands communicating internationally, that is a considerable advantage over classic model bookings.
From jacket to fjord: the production process
After the casting, the studio jackets were digitally “put on” the selected AI models. Unavoidable AI artifacts — at collars, zippers or sleeves — were corrected in manual retouching. This is exactly where the studio shoot paid off: the high-resolution detail shots of the real products served as a reference to correct every last AI flaw precisely.
The final step was generating the scenery: a Norwegian fjord with a cruise ship — entirely AI-generated, atmospheric and brand-consistent. Followed by a final retouch to composite the overall image.
The project was initiated and led by the B2 Communications brand communications agency from Aschaffenburg. Creative direction and project lead: Bastian Bieber.
One shoot. Infinite results.
One shoot. Infinite results.
Two images, one model, one jacket — and yet completely different visual worlds: a close-up in warm backlight, a full-body shot on the cruise deck at sunset. Both motifs were created without travel, without weather dependency, without an extra shooting day.
That is precisely the decisive advantage of Hybrid AI Production: a single studio shoot with a few poses and close-ups provides the basis for an almost unlimited number of motifs — different locations, lighting moods, crops and use cases. What classically would have required several productions emerges here flexibly, quickly and with planning certainty.
For product and marketing managers that means: more content from less effort — scalable for campaigns, social media, newsletters and print.
Conclusion
Conclusion
Hybrid AI Production combines the best of two worlds: the quality and product fidelity of a professional studio shoot with the flexibility and scalability of AI-generated imagery. For product and marketing managers that means: more control, fewer dependencies, faster time to market.
